Daily Announcements

November 8th, 2024

TODAY is a dress down day. Pay $1.00 to your first period teacher if you choose to participate. Please remember NO HOLES/NO LEGGINGS and NO SWEATPANTS (of any kind)

The Business Professionals of America classes will be starting our annual BPA Food-For-Friends drive on Monday November 4th and running through Thanksgiving.

This is the second of our three Community Service projects for the year.

Last year we delivered 6,589 pounds of food to the Dayton Food Bank. That total was a record for all the years we have been doing this. The Food Bank people tell me that one pound of food is equal to one meal for one person. So we were able to provide 6500+ meals to the hungry in Greene County.  More people than ever before are making use of the Food Bank and food pantries to be able to feed their families. Hopefully we can equal or surpass this record total this year.

Students will be asked to gather non-perishable food items to be donated to the Dayton Food Bank. The Dayton Food Bank distributes these donations to the various food pantries in Greene County.

Anyone wishing to donate can bring items to room 2160 (Info Tech) or call me at ext. 2160 and I will send students to pick your items up.

Students,

You have a school issued laptop for school use only. If you are using a VPN to bypass GCCC’s restrictions, you are violating our school policy and this may lead to disciplinary actions. If you are caught using a VPN on your school issued laptop, you may be suspended for five days out of school for the first infraction. The second infraction may be a ten-day suspension from school with a recommendation for expulsion. If you are using a VPN, remove your capability to use it as soon as possible.

The 2024 Fall Seat Belt Challenge will be held from November 4th through November 19th. An agency will be here counting the number of students buckled at your school's dismissal time. This is always a great reminder to you students to buckle up every time you get in a vehicle. Last year, the data indicates that 88.9% of our student body was buckled. Please buckle up so we can be the top school in Greene County and so we can potentially save a life.

“Fairborn and Beavercreek Students, you should have received Federal Impact Aid Surveys in lab. Please complete the forms and return to the main office ASAP.”
